At WellHaven, we treat your pet with the same compassion we provide our own animals. Our experienced team uses the latest technology to provide top-notch care that keeps your pets happy and healthy.

Dr. Kim O’Callaghan

Dr. Kim O’Callaghan earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. She has spent her career in primary care, as an instructor, and as a locum tenens (relief veterinarian) performing medicine, surgery, and oral surgery. She has decided to focus on urgent/emergent care now that her children are grown.

Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, lameness, and infectious diseases for which she has a published article on Brucella canis in JAMVA, What Is Your Diagnosis (Online Publication Date: 24 Feb 2022).  A lifelong resident of Minnesota, Dr. O’Callaghan enjoys as many outdoor activities as possible including mountain biking, hiking and camping, nordic skiing, bird watching, and is giving Dragon Boat racing a try. She also enjoys volunteering as a sled dog trail veterinarian having worked races in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Maine.

She loves spending time with her family and friends, reading books and The New York Times, live music, exercise, and her two rescue dogs.
